This function exports the assembly structure in the active part to any of the following formats: Catia v5, STEP, IGES and Parasolid. Selecting the function presents a file dialog that allows you to save the assembly as a Catia v5 (.catproduct) file, a STEP assembly file, an IGES assembly file or a Parasolid assembly file.

Note that File>Export>Catia v5, File>Export>STEP and File>Export IGES are different from this function in that with the File>Export functions you are allowed to select the entities you want to export and the assemblies are flattened in the export. Assemblies>Export retains the assembly structure.
