Vector

Vector

Primarily, vectors provide direction values and sometimes provide coordinate data as well.

Two Positions

Use the Two Positions function to define the vector base and tip by two positions that you indicate.

Along Line

Use this function to create a vector along a line that you specify.

Key-In

The Key-In function can be used to define a vector by entering vector cosines.

Rotate from Vector

Use this function to rotate one vector about its base point towards another vector.

Cross Product

This option creates a vector that is the cross-product of two previously defined vectors.

Plane/Plane Intersection

Once you select a plane, you are prompted to select the second plane for intersection.

Normal to Plane

Use this function to create a vector that is perpendicular to an entity that you indicate.

Tangent to Curve

Use the Tangent to Curve function operation will evenly distribute a specified number of tangent vectors along a given curve.

Normal to Curve

Use the Normal to Cure creation function to create a vector that is perpendicular to a curve that you select.

Surface Grid

Use the Surface Grid function to extract tangent and normal vectors from a selected surface.
