Primitive Solid
The Primitive creation features are available from the Create>Primitive pull-down and Advanced Modeling>Create>Primitive palette submenus. Solid primitives are basic, three-dimensional shapes. These can be created quickly, and in one step to save time while you model. Solid primitives can also be easily modified (see Modify for complete descriptions of the available modification functions).
Defining the Axis During Primitive Solid Creation
To view information on a feature available from the Create> Primitive Solid submenu, click the appropriate link below:

Animated Placement:
Solid primitives are animated during creation, allowing you to visually determine the size and orientation before the object is placed. Base points of primitives are adjustable during placement. During animation, you can toggle through the available insertion positions using the Generic toggle feature enabled through Tools>Options>Select. An alternative dynamic method is available by using the new Primitive Dynamic option.
Each solid primitive contains different insertion positions:
NOTE: Anchor options in creation dialog has a keyboard toggle for selecting Anchor method in dialog. While in Create Primitive Dialog type b for center of block, e for center of edges and r for center of faces
