Use the Autodesk Inventor import feature to read solid and surface geometry directly from Autodesk Inventor® part files (*.IPT). This feature also has the ability to import unit information.

Limitations:

Color attributes cannot currently be translated.

Autodesk Inventor assembly files (*.IAM), presentation files (*.IPN), and 2D drawing files (*.IDW) cannot currently be translated.

Helical surfaces from Autodesk Inventor 6 and ”r;cylspl” surfaces from Autodesk Inventor 7 are ignored during translation using this feature.
