Transform Mating Overview

The Transform Mating functions are useful for moving or copying existing geometry so that it is aligned and optionally attached with other geometry.


Position (Move/Copy)

This function moves entities, preserving their orientation.


Arc (Move/Copy)

This function moves entities by mating a circle or arc against a target circle or arc.


Face (Move/Copy)

This function moves entities by mating a solid face to a target face.


Axis (Move/Copy)

This function moves entities by mating a specified axis to a target axis.


Axial Translation (Move/Copy)

This function moves entities by sliding them along an axis, which is determined from the end point of an entity.


Axial Rotation (Move/Copy)

This function moves entities by rotating them about a specified axis, with the amount of rotation specified by an angle or by start and end positions.


Axial Trans/Rotate (Move/Copy)

This function moves and rotates entities such that a specified axis is parallel to a target axis.


Mating Update

This function manually updates the position of entities managed by Entity Mates.
