Boolean

The Boolean operations available from the Modify>Boolean pulldown and Advanced Modeling>Modify>Boolean palette submenus can be used to combine primitives to create new, more complex shapes.


Unite

Use this option to collect bodies into one body.


Unite with Keep

The Unite with Keep function works exactly the same as the Boolean Unite operation, except that some or all material normally removed during the operation is retained in the Boolean result.


Subtract

Use the Subtract function to subtract one body (called the tool body) from another.


Subtract with Keep

This function works exactly the same as the Boolean Unite operation except that all material normally removed during the operation is retained in the result.


Intersect

Use this function to intersect one body with another.


Intersect with Keep

The Intersect with Keep function works exactly the same as the Boolean Intersect operation except that all material normally removed during the operation is retained in the result.


Separate

Use Separate Disjoint Bodies to separate solid objects that, while not physically connected, are considered one solid body.


Prune

Use the Prune function to extract a body from a list of selected faces.


Graft

Use the Graft function to Boolean one body (called a tool body) from another (called a target body).
