Extrude

The Extrude feature can be used to create a solid body that is an extrusion of a planar profile and closed set of curves along a vector.

Contained in this dialog box are several settings that allow you to specify how exactly an extrusion is to be created.

When By Vector is selected under Direction, you are prompted to define a vector after the planar face to be extruded has been selected.
