KeyCreator / Create / Point / Distance Interval
Use this feature to create a series of points at a specified linear distance on a curve. When using this function, keep the following in mind:
-
The end point closest to the selection point is the first point on the specified curve.
-
If the length of the curve is not an exact multiple of the specified distance, a point at the other end of the curve will not be created.
-
Regardless of the 2D/3D setting, this option always creates the specified points on the selected curve.
-
To improve accuracy when creating a large number of points on a curve, break the curve into segments, and then break each of the segments down individually.
Using the Function:
-
Select Distance Interval from the Create>Point submenu.
-
Enter the distance between points.
-
Select the curve near the end to measure the distance from.
