Composites are quite similar to Groups*HIDS_TOOLS_GROUP in that they share like function names and behave similarly, though Composites are more robust and allow you quicker, easier access to the entities that they contain, given that each entity has a name and ID.  The Composite features are available from the Tools>Composite pull-down and Modeling>Tools>Composite palette submenus.  

When working with Composites, it will be important to keep the following in mind:

• If any Composites have copious data attached to them, it could lead to data loss. If copious data is found, you will be prompted and warned that data loss may result from it.

• Composites act like single entities for many operations, such as XForm procedures, change attributes, and change level.
