The Viewport Layout features allow you to choose from eight unique viewport layouts. A viewport is the area within the Drawing Window in which your part is displayed. You can choose the arrangement of your viewports and work within all visible viewports, even if each one is set to a different view. The rendering settings of the active viewport are copied to all of the newly created viewports when these functions are used.

After viewport is divided according to the function selected, you will then be able to further expand/contract the viewport divisions by dragging the splitter lines.
