Use the Import>AutoCAD DXF/DWG functions to import files in the DXF or DWG format. A data translator has three primary functions: importing the data in one format; converting the data into another format; and exporting converted data. When you translate data, an important consideration is how much of the original file remains after translation, and how much clean up and editing is necessary after translation. DXF and DWG files are equivalent to a design file. You can import a DXF/DWG drawing into this program and work with that file as a part file or as an AutoCAD drawing file. The DXF and DWG bi-directional data translators allow you to easily move data to and from AutoCAD. There are few limitations, however, in what will be supported in a DXF/DWG file.
