This function is used to generate geodesic curves on a surface. Geodesic curves are curves which lie on a surface and form the shortest path between two not too distant points on a surface. This function can be used to generate accurate curves to solve shortest path problems. Also it can be used to effortlessly generate a surface curve when you need a curve that goes a variable distance on a surface to be used as construction geometry
