Use the Ruled function to build a ruled surface face. To do this, you will be required to select two opposing chains of curves, or one chain of curves and an opposite point. For example, select a circle and a point and you get the shell of a cone (use the Create Cone feature to easily create a solid cone object.)

A Spline Surface always creates a body with one face, while an Analytic Surface will create a body with a face for every curve selected. Analytic Surface will also create analytic faces when analytic curves are selected.
