Use the Align Step function to align dimensions with a reference dimension that you indicate. Unlike the Align function, however, this function allows you to insert a space to each dimension. The result is similar to a baseline dimension.

Using the Function:

1. Click Detail>Linear Dimensions>Align Linear Step. The Conversation Bar prompts you to enter a distance value.

2. Enter a distance value for the step.

3. Indicate the first dimension.

4. Indicate additional dimensions to align with the step value. Any dimensions you select after the first (reference) was indicated will be aligned with that first dimension and at the step value that was entered.
