Use this function to break multiple entities into separate entities,  based upon their intersections with a common entity. Break Modal is similar to the Break First function, in that by selecting several entities to break, you can perform multiple breaks with the same breaking entity.

Using the Function

1. Click Modify>Break>Modal.

2. Select a common entity that breaks the other entities.

3. Select the entity you want to break near the position where you want the break to occur. The part you select retains its original attributes

4. If desired, continue to select entities to break. The entities you select are broken after each individual selection is made.
