KeyCreator Pro Create Mesh 4 Curves options

Use this feature to create a mesh that is defined by two generator curves and two director curves. The mesh visually simulates blending four two-curve surfaces. When you use this option, the end positions of the four curves must intersect to form a closed boundary.

Using the Function:
  1. Select Mesh by Four Curves from the Create>Mesh submenu.

  2. Choose the entity type for the mesh.

  3. If you chose Polygon, choose whether to use a three- or four-sided polygon for the mesh.

  4. Choose a method for defining the sweep of the mesh's profile:

  • Translate - Keeps the generator curve's orientation relative to the world coordinate frame as the generator curve is moved along the director curve.

  • Rotate - Keeps the generator curve's orientation relative to the director curve as the generator curve is moved along the director curve.

  1. Select the generator curves.

  2. Enter the number of segments for the generator curves.

  3. Select the director curves, near the end from which you want to start the sweep of the generator curves.

  4. Enter the number of segments for the director curves.

  5. Choose whether or not the curves are connected correctly.

  6. Choose whether or not to group the mesh.

  7. If you group the mesh, enter a group name and, if necessary, a subgroup number.
