KeyCreator Pro Create Polyline Sketch

Use this feature to create a continuous polyline. When creating sketch entities, it will be important to keep the following in mind:

  • The Sketch Increment setting under Tools>Options>Misc will determine how far the cursor must be moved before a new vertex is added to the polyline being created.

  • In 2D construction mode, the polyline is created and the vertices are projected to the current construction plane.

  • In 3D construction mode, the polyline is created using the 3D coordinates of the indicated vertices.

Using the Function:
  1. Select Sketch from the Create>Polyline submenu.

  2. Click and hold down the left mouse button at the start point of the polyline.

  3. Move the mouse to draw your shape.

  4. Release the mouse button to end the polyline. The prompt on the Conversation Bar asks if you want to close the polyline.

NOTE: Exiting the function before releasing the mouse will end the polyline creation session without creating the polyline.

  1. If you do not want to close the polyline, click No, then Esc, and ignore the remaining steps.

  2. If you want to close the polyline (a straight line will be drawn automatically between the start point and the end point), click Yes. The prompt asks you if you want to fill the polyline.

  3. If you do not want to fill the polyline, click Outline and ignore the remaining steps.

  4. If you want to fill the polyline, click FIlled. The color dialog box appears.

  5. Select the fill color and click OK. The color fills the polyline.

  6. Click Cancel/Esc.
