The features available from the Line submenu can be used to create line entities by several varying methods. These options will appear when Line is selected from the Create Menu. When creating lines, it will be important to keep the following in mind:

• Lines can be created tangent to arcs, circles, conics and splines.

• Lines can be created perpendicular to lines, arcs, conics, splines, polylines, and polygons.

• In 3D construction mode, lines are created in the plane that is defined by the selected entities. Also, the selected construction entities and reference positions must be coplanar.

• In 2D construction mode, the line is created and the reference entities are projected to the current construction plane.

• Use Edit>System Settings>Line Limits to determine the length of the new line.
