Using Edit Part In-Context

Follow the steps below when using the Edit Part In-Context function to edit a referenced part in the current window.

Using the Function:

1. Select Edit Part In-Context from either the right-click menu or from the Assembly Ribbon area. If using from the Menu, you must select geometry in the appropriate reference.

2. An Edit Part In-Context session begins in the current window, during which you are able to edit the referenced part through the part reference in that window. The referenced part will update, as will other references to the part, according to the changes that are made during the session.

3. To end the editing session, select End In-Context Editing from the right-click menu or Assemblies menu.
