Creating an Extruded Surface

Follow the steps below to create a  surface. Note that before using the Extrude feature, you must have the curve profile constructed.

Using the Function:

1. Select Extrude from the Surface>Sweep Ribbon area.

2. The Tabulated Cylinder dialog appears. Specify the start and end distances and select OK when done.

3. Select the generator curve.

4. Select the direction vector.
   

• 2 Positions – Indicate two points to define the vector direction.

• Line – Select a line to define the vector direction.

• Vector – Select another vector by which the vector direction will be defined

5. The tabulated cylinder surface is then created.
