Use this function to select layout-specific entities to tag to an instance. Whenever the instance is updated, the tagged entities will update accordingly.

NOTE: Entities tagged to an instance are moved to the level of the instance, and do not exist on any level separate from the instance.

Using the Function:

1. Select Tag to Instance from the Drwing Layout Ribbon area.

2. Select the instance to which you want to tag layout-specific entities.

3. Select the layout-specific entities that you intend to tag to the instance, using the selection menu, and select ACCEPT.

4. The selected geometry is tagged to the instance you had indicated. Whenever the instance is updated, the tagged geometry will now update accordingly.
