Use this feature to create ordinate dimensions that appear along an axis you specify by indicating two positions, but with text positions that you choose independently for each dimension.

Using the Function:

1. Select Unaligned Parallel from the Detail>Linear>Ordinate Ribbon area.

2. Indicate the base ordinate position.

3. Indicate a second (subordinate) position.

4. Select axis definition method or enter value. You can use the positions you chose in the previous two steps, enter a numerical angle value for the axis, or use any of the KeyCreator selection methods to define the axis by two points.

5. Indicate a position for the dimension text. The dimension text is automatically aligned with the position you choose.

6. Continue to select locations and text positions for each subordinate.
