KeyCreator Prime Modify Break Entities

Use the functions on the Curve>Modify>Break spliter to segment an entity into two or three different entities. When an entity is broken, its original section retains the attribute settings associated with it. After you use a Break function, the new entities assume the current attribute settings.

When using any of the Break entities functions under Modify, it will be important to keep the following in mind:

  • Be certain that the entities you want to break intersect and extend past the intersection point.

  • Assign new entity attributes and a level before you select the entity to modify.

  • Change the current color attribute before you select the entities to easily view the breaks.

  • Circles can only be broken using the Break Entities>Break Double function.

  • text-indent: 1px;"> When entities do not intersect in 3D space, a projected intersection is computed in 2D space using the current CPlane. For Break Position, the entity is broken at the position nearest to the entity in 2D space using the current CPlane. To perform the calculations using the current Display View, enable CP=DV from the CPlane menu options.
