KeyCreator Prime Line Tangent and Perpenicular

Use this feature to create a line tangent to the first selected entity and perpendicular to the second selected entity. Only one of the entities can be a point.

  • In 3D construction mode, make sure the entities you select are coplanar.

  • If the points of tangency and perpendicularity are coincident, an error message will appear stating that the entity could not be created.

Using the Function:
  1. Select Tangent and Perpendicular from the Curve>Line>Tangent Ribbon area.

  2. Select the first entity, near the point of tangency.

  3. Select the second entity, near the point of perpendicularity. When Line Limits are set to Function, the line is created with the points of tangency and perpendicularity as its end points. When Line Limits are set to Viewport, the line passes through the points of tangency and perpendicularity, and extends to the viewport limits.
