Use this feature to create a line perpendicular to a selected entity through a position that you specify.

• When in 3D construction mode, make sure the selected entity and position are coplanar.

• If the reference position is on the selected entity, an error message appears stating that the entity selection was not valid. You must then reselect the entity.

Using the Function:

1. Select Perpendicular through a Position from the Curve>Line>Perpendicular Ribbon area.

2. Select the reference entity.

3. Select the position that the perpendicular line passes through.
