HOOPS Metafile Export

Use the Export>HOOPS Metafile function to export elements to a HOOPS Metafile.  The HOOPS metafile (HMF) describes a three dimensional scene in graphical terms, but does not support non-geometric data, and will not carry it in the file.

Exporting to HOOPS Metafile (HMF):

In the steps below, you can use the Conversation Bar to export one or more entities of the geometry. If you do not select one or more entities and click Accept, all of the geometry is exported.

1. Select HOOPS Metafile from the File>Export submenu. The Save As dialog appears, through which you are able to specify a file name and directory location for the new (*.HMF) file.

2. Once you have specified a file name and directory for the new export file, click on SAVE.  The geometry will be saved to the new file name (*.HMF extension), and in the location you have specified.
