KeyCreator Verify Distance 2 Entities

 

Use this feature to calculate the minimum distance between two geometric entities.

NOTE: This function differs from Verify>Distance>Two Positions. It focuses on closest distance between selected entities, while Two Positions focuses on user specified position selection, .

Using the Function:

  1. Select Two Entities from the Verify>Distance submenu.

  2. Select the first entity.

  3. Select the second entity. The projected and actual distances are displayed.

Projected distance based on closest point on the two selected entities (pt1 , pt2) and World View projected distance (dX, dY). Actual distance given the closest point on the two entities selected, (X,Y,Z) and World View distance between the points, (dX, dY, dZ) are presented for selected entities in both Engish and Metric units:
