Use the Set Exploded Position to specify a position for the exploded view of a reference, or change the position of a reference after an exploded position has been set.

The exploded position is stored as a vector in local space. For instance, if the exploded position is 3 units along the Z axis of the insertion plane, and that Z axis is then rotated, the exploded position will still be 3 units along the Z axis.

Using the Function:

1. Select Set Exploded Position from either the right-click menu or Assemblies menu.

2. Select the reference to explode.

3. Specify a position for the exploded reference.
